Planes Series No. 3
Planes Series No. 3
18 x 24 | acrylic on canvas, framed in thin white float frame
Inspired by the sculptures of Richard Serra, I use my favorite method of drawing—starting with two lines and connecting them at their turning points—to create the illusion of a three-dimensional structure in a flat space.
Some of the paintings have shifts in perspective that make the object appear to either be floating freely in a void or anchored to a sloping plane, depending on where you're looking.
